Ashtanga Yoga is a system of Yoga popularized in modern times by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in the city of Mysore, South India. The name Ashtanga Yoga means “8 limbs” in Sanskrit. It is a reference to the 8-part method of practice in the ancient text, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. In Patanjali’s method, the practice of asana or postures is one part of a comprehensive discipline of self care including physical and mental training.
This dynamic, physically demanding practice synchronizes breath and movement to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body. Ashtanga yoga is great for building core strength, toning the body, and training the mind to focus.
Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the body (fascia, ligaments, tendons, and joints) especially the hips, pelvis, legs, and spine, by holding poses at an appropriate depth for a longer duration of time. Yin Yoga helps to find the stillness within, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Warm & Hot Yoga
Warm Yoga is perfect for the beginner to Hot Yoga or those wanting a more therapeutic style of yoga. Warm & Hot Yoga classes are mindful and steady and use the heat of F.A.R. Inrared Heating Panels to heat the body gently, allowing further detoxification of the tissues and cells as well as aiding in the healing of scar tissue and common skin issues by increasing circulation, increasing production of elastin, and regeneration of skin cells. Warm is practiced between 85 & 90 degrees and Hot is practiced in 95 - 105 degrees.
Restorative Yoga is a soothing and healing practice of allowing that focuses on releasing tension in a restful state. Props are used to cradle the body while encouraging stillness and comfort to further support the practice of "letting go".
Practicing yoga is known to improve focus and decrease hormonal imbalance in children. Yoga can help children with ADD and ADHD in addition to helping prevent diabetes and obesity. During Kids Yoga your child will gain body awareness, improved concentration, and learn self-love and respect for all living things.
Recommended for children ages 7-12, or previous yoga experience.

This class is for adult and child 2-4 years old. We move, sing, act like animals, and simply just have fun! Adults get your stretch on while your kids play and learn.
